At six years of age,Yamal was scouted by Barcelona and was invited to training sessions at La Masia academy.
Lamine Yamal made his debut for the club on April 29,2023,becoming the youngest player in the club's history.Yamal signed his first senior professional contract with Barcelona on October 2023.
At the age of 16 years, Yamal received his first senior international call-up on 1 September 2023 by coach Luis de la Fuente for the UEFA EURO 2024 QUALIFIERS against Georgia and Cyprus.
