This is a very interesting Super Cup final tonight. PSG vs Aston Villa kicks off at 8:00 PM UK time in Salzburg.
My take ⚽
I’d give PSG the edge, but I don’t think it will be easy.
Why PSG:
- They come in as Champions League holders and have an extremely dangerous attack.
- Their midfield should give them more control of possession.
- PSG have several players capable of deciding a tight final individually.
- They are also defending the Super Cup after winning it last year.
Why Aston Villa can cause problems:
- Unai Emery knows PSG extremely well.
- Villa already showed in their Champions League quarter-final against PSG that they can hurt them — they actually won the second leg 3–2 at Villa Park.
- Villa’s ability to counterattack and their physicality could make this uncomfortable for PSG.
